Fizzles- “the action of breaking wind quietly…” For all of you who love Samuel Beckett’s writing and appreciate art and performance, take a journey with us into the heart of Dublin for a unique experience of Samuel Beckett’s Spartan prose work, Fizzles. Words, body, image, projection, sculpture, architecture, sound, silence, light and dark. Raymond Keane performs using his recorded voice as score and body as text. Directed by Sarah Jane Scaife, in one of the most resonant architectural spaces of Dublin’s past.

‘Best productions of the plays I’ve yet seen’ — Fintan O’Toole

‘The projection… is rendered almost like the style of early Rembrandt upon the walls.’

The Beckett Circle, Autumn 2014.

‘These effects upon the senses gently enfold the audience in the themes of light, deterioration and selfhood through the excellent work of lighting designer Paul Keogan and projection designer Kilian Waters…’

The Beckett Circle, Autumn 2014.

Supported by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Dublin City Council, Samuel Beckett Summer School, RUA RED and Irish Theatre Institute.
